Jay Strawter Mr.2010:The Top Free Agent

I recently had the pleasure of talking with Jay Strawter, live on
UStream tv. I admit, it was my first live interview, but I needn't
have been nervous. I must say I found myself put at ease right away,
by this talented entertainer from Louisville Kentucky. Warm and
friendly, Jay was willing to answer any number of questions, while
making everyone comfortable. We all became willing participants as
Jay entertained everyone of us.

Though Jay has already had his first hit, it doesn't seem to have
changed him much. He advises young people to remain humble and true,
and he seems to practice his own advice. As I listened I heard him
offer encouragement to different writers, who were hoping he would
look at their work. Since he discussed some of it on the air, they
knew his promises were not empty.

Since Jay has dropped Soulja, he has worked hard developing his own
identity. To that end, Jay Strawter is currently working on a book,
several clothing lines, and has his own record label, "Big Money
Bosses", which he hopes will help springboard him and other young
talents to even greater sucess.
Not only does he interact with his fans daily, he takes the time to
welcome each guest, making each one feel special, and an important
part of the show.

Here, I'd like to share with you a portion of the interview.
With the aid of Miz Red V.P. From Big Money Bosses, we discussed
everything from gay marriage, to whether politics today make him laugh
or groan.



Though Jay did offer to answer personal questions, we decided to
leave those for another post in 'Off Stage Secrets'.


Jay tells me that he's a multi-talented fellow, if you visit Big

Sugar Bear was always a sideman playing guitar and backup vocals. Touring as N-syncs lead guitar player in studio and live. Touring with acts such as The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gloria Estevan and The Miami Sound Machine, Goo Goo Dolls, R.E.M, Black Eyed Peas, Aha, Nazareth, Police, John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band, and too many more to mention. When his band stopped (on the road) after years everybody went home brokenhearted. Sugar Bear landed a job in a hotel on a stool playing acoustic and playing anything someone would yell out. For the first time making money.



Another sideman Jim Burmeister was unemployed and joined the act. Shortly after Jimmy Brotherton was added from the old N-sync line up and became The Beaver Brothers, doing shows with The Dare Devils, Van Zants, Head East, Badfinger and so on After a wonderful run as The Beaver Bros. It was time for a change. Kort Elsworth/Drums, his brother Ronzo/Bass/Vocals, had played and sang together since birth became Sugar Bear Trio. Opening for many acts, playing clubs concerts, events and yes weddings. Air play of "Thats How Love" twice a day on ABC Radio Network.Air play in daily rotation for several other songs on all the affiliate ABC Radio Network check rotation meer music. We are getting played every day on 11 Loud City affiliate stations and are in the rotation on those 11 stations. We are mini touring playing every show in site. We are playing Bars and those venues are club format mixed with covers and our material. We also do a 30, 60, and 90 minute original shows in the concert venues. It has really made us BATTLE ready as a live act. Loud City affiliates: hundreds of stations in the organization and we are hitting them all that are our genre.
