Music has always been an important part of my life. Often I've felt
rejuvenated, energized, filled with hope, and sometimes calmed by it.
While I agree that music is generally entertaining, sometimes it can
be much, much more.
The very first time you listen to Marcome'(pronounced Marcomay) you
feel your imagination being captured. You are about to begin a
musical odyssey you won't soon forget. Marcomé began her career in
1995 with the release of her first album and blends English lyrics
with her unique wordless language
'onomatopoeia.'
In her unique method of vocalisation, Marcomé sings syllables from
her subconscious, which evoke sensual moods and settings. A vessel if
you will, which cradles and transports the listener on an aural
voyage through time, space and emotion. You feel the illusion of
floating gently, cradled in a cloud as you travel across her music.
Her organic approach to sound and song compositions, blends world
rhythms, middle eastern intonations and new-age ‘airiness’ then
layers it with her sublime voice. Thus creating a “New World” music
genre in the process.
Even so, this is still just the tip of the iceburg when you count the
many talants belonging to Marcome'. Not only is she a talented and
gifted keyboardist and percussionist, she also produces, arranges,
and engineers all of her own musical works, through her own record label,
Marco Productions Inc. Having all of this
ability and control has worked beautifully for Marcome', the results
shown in releasing two critically acclaimed solo albums entitled
“Seven Seas” (1995) and “River Of Soul” (2007).
